For members with a registered email address, your membership renewal details for the following year will be sent to you by email annually. Members who have an email address registered with us will not receive written (postal) renewal details, so it is most important that you regularly monitor your emails. Please let the Membership Secretary know if you change your email address or any of your other contact details. Also, make sure that you have noreply@u3abeacon.org.uk entered in your contacts and safe senders list; this should ensure that you always receive our emails; otherwise, they may end up in your junk mail.
Membership Renewal notifications were sent out by email on the 15th of October 2025.
There are no changes in the renewal fees for the year commencing 1st January 2026. Fees have been kept at £15.00

To participate in any of our interest groups or any outing/event, you are required to be a fully paid-up member of Canvey Island U3A. The only exception is when a coach trip is organised by the Events Organiser or a Group Liaison and there are seats remaining on that coach. After being offered to all of our members, any spare seats can then be offered to members of other Local U3A's. Due to the terms of our insurance cover, it is no longer possible to include Friends and Family on Trips.
MEMBERS PERSONAL DETAILS
It is most important that we have your correct contact details, including an email address if you use email. Now that we have our Beacon membership management system up and running, we will be relying on its email facility to contact you concerning all U3A matters. Being the most cost-effective method of contacting you, we will use email wherever possible. (Most of us have a Smartphone in our pocket or bag these days and it's quite simple to set up and monitor your emails with it.)
However, it is important that you do not give us an email address that you never use, as we send important notifications via email to those with email addresses i.e Membership renewal notifications and AGM documents.
Please make sure that you have noreply@u3abeacon.org.uk entered in your contacts/safe senders list as per details at the top of the Beacon page, this should prevent emails sent via Beacon from ending up in your Junk / Spam.
